Refunds / Cancellations for Online Payments
This section describes the cancellation, rescheduling and refund conditions applicable to bookings made at Gaál Mansion and paid online by bank card. Online card payments are processed through NETOPIA Payments.
Online Payment
Online bookings become confirmed only after the amount indicated during the booking process has been paid and the payment has been confirmed.
For individual bookings, the full accommodation fee is paid online, according to the amount displayed during the booking process.
For group bookings, private events or bookings involving several rooms, Gaál Mansion may request the payment of a deposit. The amount of the deposit depends on the type of booking, the selected period and the requested services.
Online card payments are processed securely through NETOPIA Payments. Gaál Mansion does not request or store the guest’s full bank card details.
If the payment is unsuccessful, the booking is not considered confirmed.
Cancellation of the Booking
For individual bookings paid online, cancellation is free of charge if the guest sends the cancellation request at least 14 days before the start date of the stay. In this case, the amount paid for accommodation will be refunded.
If the cancellation is made less than 14 days before the start date of the stay, the amount paid is non-refundable.
If the guest does not arrive on the scheduled check-in date, the booking is considered cancelled by the guest, and the amount paid will not be refunded.
For group bookings, private events or bookings involving several rooms, different cancellation conditions may apply. These will be communicated by Gaál Mansion before the booking is confirmed.
Rescheduling the Booking
Gaál Mansion may allow the booking to be rescheduled, subject to availability.
Rescheduling is possible under the following conditions:
- the request is sent in writing, by e-mail, before the arrival date;
- the new period is available in Gaál Mansion’s booking calendar;
- the new period falls within the same calendar year as the original booking;
- any price difference is paid by the guest.
As a general rule, a booking may be rescheduled once, unless Gaál Mansion approves another solution in writing.
Refunds
For individual bookings paid online, the amount paid for accommodation will be refunded if the guest sends the cancellation request at least 14 days before the start date of the stay.
In the case of cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date of the stay, or in the case of no-show, the amount paid is non-refundable.
The refund will be made through the same payment method used for the original transaction, in accordance with the rules of NETOPIA Payments and the issuing bank.
The estimated processing time for an approved refund may vary from 48 hours to 30 days, depending on the issuing bank, the payment processor and the type of bank card used.

NETOPIA Payments processes the online payment, but the review of any cancellation, rescheduling or refund request is handled by the merchant, Gaál Mansion, according to the conditions presented above.
If the amount has already been settled to Gaál Mansion, the refund will be made according to the procedures available in the NETOPIA account or, if this is no longer possible, through another payment method agreed with the guest.
